HOY partners with many local nonprofit organizations and community projects:

A private girls' orphanage
A government shelter for teens
An environmental project in a local ravine
A food bank
Alternative elementary schools
A home for the elderly
An animal shelter
A community recycling center

Participants are accompanied to their site(s) and introduced to staff at the community organization. Volunteer activities are matched to language level, and every effort is made to accommodate personal interests.

Limited Spanish speakers are invited to volunteer with HOY; communication is more than language-based! Spanish classes at Casa HOY are available upon request for an additional fee.
