a meaningful travel experience by pairing them with local community organizations where they may volunteer during their stay at Casa HOY.

To foster positive development in underprivileged communities and personal growth in international volunteers through participatory travel.
What Is Participatory Travel?
Participatory travel is when a socially-aware traveler carries out community service at local programs in underserved communities while getting to know a culture from the inside out.
HOY's participatory-trip experiences in Mexico contribute to:
community and individual growth cross-cultural exchange mutual education through the sharing of knowledge and skills.
Our Participatory Trips:
For Individual Travelers HOY organizes one- or two-week participatory trips in Cuernavaca for solo travelers, families, and friends, with accommodations at its hostel, Casa HOY.
For Groups HOY offers service trips to urban and rural Mexico. These programs require between 8 and 15 volunteers; accommodation is provided on-site.
